What I Love...

I am new to this whole blogging thing, but I read a few of my friend's blogs. Two of them have also just had babies in the past 2 months, and they have both written lists about the things they love about their babies. You can tell when I have super busy days, because I mostly upload pictures as I run around the house. I love it, but I need to write some more. So here you go...

Therefore, I would like to follow in the cool footprints of my friends and write a post about the things I love about my girls and our lives together!

1. The way they stop crying when they hear my voice as I go to get them in the middle of the night.

2. The way they stretch with their whole bodies when they are waking up.

3. Their unstoppable smiles for all sorts of things.

4. The way they look like they are laughing, even though no laughing sounds come out just yet.

5. The way they are starting to kick their legs happily when they get a bath.

6. The way they snuggle their burp cloths and little blankets to their faces.

7. Their cheeks as they get chubbier and chubbier...by the way, I can now see the beginnings of dimples on Lexi when she smiles! :)

8. Their little button noses.

9. Their sleepy grunts, squeeks, and moans.

10. The way they love their milk.

11. The way they study new faces, and the way they stare at mine and Eric's.

12. The way they grab my hair and don't let go.

13. Their little fingers and their little toes.

14. When they coo while I change their diapers. They seem to love getting cleaned up.

15. Their hair as it gets longer on the backs of their necks.

16. The way they smell.

17. Cuddling with them after they have eaten and are falling asleep.

AND...just everything about being their mommy! I couldn't ask for better babies. I am so thankful for them! When I am exhausted, I have thought how much easier 1 baby at a time would be, I am automatically struck with how lucky I am to have them both! I love it that I don't favor one over the other...they are both so wonderful and perfect. I could not possibly love one more than the other.

Lilly and Lexi, you girls are more loved by daddy and me than you will ever know! Thanks for being so great! I can't wait to watch you grow and take another billion pictures of you!!!!!! :)

Oh yeah, daddy told me what he loves about you (other than what I said!)

1. He loves the way they fall asleep on his chest so easily and cuddle with him for naps.

2. He also loves it when he can feel them breathing while sleeping on his chest.

I still take lots of pictures! Enjoy!

The girls love to lay on Eric's chest to take naps. There is something nice about daddy!

Here they are hanging out with mommy during the day! We wake up in the mornings and play for about an hour and a half and then usually crash in their bouncers for a short nap!

Lilly liked her bath and the hooded towel may actually fit in the next couple months! :)

Lilly was exhausted after being fussy for about an hour and crashed next to her daddy on the bed!

Hey Nana Betty, look what Lexi likes to snuggle with! She is starting to want to hold onto blankets and toys now.

Lexi wasn't sure what to think of her pink bunny slippers, so she just started to fall asleep!

In Memory of Grandpa

My grandfather passed away last night. Thank you for praying for him and us. I am glad that he is not suffering anymore. Now he is with this daughters and wife, all of whom I know he missed dearly! He was such a gentleman, and a smart, honorable, wonderful man. I could think of thousands of favorable adjectives to use to describe him.

Okay, well I gotta get back to my fussy little ones! Looks like its naptime. :)

Grandpa Update

Well whatever made my grandfather pass out in the first place and caused him to fall is what is messing with his body now...I got a call after the past posts were published and it wasn't looking good. I talked to my cousin Tyffany yesterday morning and he was going from un-responsive to doing okay to not knowing where he was. Then his vitals were going nuts. His blood pressure is all over the place, his extremities are swollen, and his kidneys are functioning at 20%. The doctors aren't sure what is wrong.

Eric and I packed up the babies again yesterday and drove down. We left the hospital about 8 pm and not much had changed. We all drove down just in case it was our last chance to say goodbye. Dad and Nathan were both able to make it and I think my Aunt Cindy and her kids were able to get there late last night. I feel better about the fact that Eric and I got to see him again and love on him a little bit. If, God forbid, he leaves us soon, at least we got to say goodbye and let him know how much we love him!

It was kind of funny though, Grandpa said it was the tap water that did it! Poor guy!

Well keep praying for all of us. This is even more difficult on my 4 cousins who live in Austin, because they are his medical power of attorney and they are taking turns sleeping at the hospital with him. So they really need prayer for strength and wisdom! They take such good care of him.

Anyways, thanks for all the prayer so far! Love you all!
