Such A Big Girl

I realize a year is technically a long time, but it amazes me how fast time flies. I tried to put Lexi's hair up in what we call a "fountain" the other day. It was SO long. This was last December and it seems like a couple of months ago....

It reached all the way to her chin!! My big girl!

Lilly Had a Question

This morning, Lilly walked into my bathroom looking for me. I was brushing my hair and she stood quietly by the counter watching me. I asked her if she was there to hang out or if she had a question to ask me. She said, "I have a question."

Then I said, "What is your question?" She smiled so innocently and said in her cutest toddler voice, "Can I have Christmas day, Mommy?" I laughed and asked her if I had understood her correctly. I had. :) She smiled again and repeated, "I really want Christmas Day, Mommy!"

I love that little girl! Every morning, she gets up and says, "Yea, it's Christmas time!!"

Reindeer

I just wanted to share the cutest little Christmas craft I found online. I don't even remember where I found it, but I just googled "Toddler Christmas Crafts" and scanned through ideas. This one looked simple and really adorable, so we went with it.

I bought some card stock paper and had the girls put their thumb prints on it with some brown ink. When the thumb prints were dry, I placed a small dot of hot glue on the backs of googley-eyes and a tiny little pom-pom. The girls placed them on their thumb prints to resemble a little reindeer. I drew the antlers on with a Sharpie and added a bow. :) See, how adorable and easy it is to make a reindeer!?!

A close-up...
Then after all the crafting, your 4 kids can plop down on the couch and hang out watching Elmo for a little bit.
Maybe your little girl will even hold your furry girl's hand (paw)! :)
Sneezy is wonderful, don't get me wrong, but I like this sweet picture of my three goober girls...
Well, go get some ink and start the reindeer making! You won't regret it!

Life Lately...

First off, Lilly's EEG came back normal. Praise God!! Her specialist wants to see her back in January to see how things are going. Eric took her to see the neurologist and Lexi and I got some Mother/Daughter time together. We missed Lilly but had a great time. When we got home, they were SO excited to see each other. There was screaming, jumping up and down, and lots of hugging and kissing... it was sweet, hilarious, and absolutely precious!!

Since Thanksgiving, we have also put up our Christmas decorations. The girls are beyond excited for Christmas. They talk about it every day and even know Mommy has presents in her room. ;)

Don't you love the footed jammies with Daddy's shoes??
Our doggies have been good sports about all the decorating...

I also painted the girls fingernails for the first time the night before Thanksgiving. They wanted to show Nana...here is Lilly modeling them for me.
Can you say thrilled!!?!!
The other day Lilly got her foot stepped on, so Lexi took a break from dancing around in her tutu to sit down and hold the "boo-boo bear" on Lilly's foot for her. I LOVE these little goobers so much!
I painted their toenails for the first time a few weeks back...while watching Ramona and Beezus! I love mother/daughter nights! And for any of you interested, I bought a little bottle of nail polish at Sally's Beauty Supply for 99¢...I bought it because it was formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP free. I have held off on painting their nails because a) I wanted them to be a little older, and b) I have issues with the chemicals used in nail polish. I still occasionally paint my toes, but it is a whole new ballgame when it comes to using that harmful stuff on your babies!

So I will be going back when this little bottle runs out. They LOVED having pretty fingers and toes. :)

Thanksgiving

We had such a lovely Thanksgiving holiday! We got up early and headed down south, somewhere in the country outside of Austin. It was just such a great day to hang out with friends and family, and of course, eat some yummy food. Eric and I got to talk about all the things we are thankful for on the drive and we got to hug the girls a little extra tight. I LOVE Thanksgiving and I love my family!

The kids helped fly a kite and even got to pet that cute little stray dog.

Cute cousins pulling on the kite strings.

Lexi had a quiet moment on a swing.

Silly girls...

Lilly watching the kite.
3 of the best things that ever happened to me!
Bouncy-house fun!
My handsome man! What a beautiful holiday...now onto Christmas! My friend Miranda and I actually made it out to the Black Friday sales and had a BLAST! It was a little insane, but I may have to do it again. :) :) Thanks, Miranda!
