This Week

We have had a great week so far. It has been fairly quiet around the house. I got my normal chores accomplished...laundry, cooking, dishes, diapers, diapers, and even more diapers.

Eric had a test and several papers due..I think he is doing really well!! He is making an A in every class and things are beginning to wind down for the semester. He gets to go to the gun range with his friend Michael tomorrow and he hasn't been able to do that since the girls were born.

Last week when Amy was here, we did some shopping. I have been looking for some warm coats for the girls to wear this winter and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I fell in love with these little sweater capes at Sears and they were on sale. They are 3-6 months so there is enough room for warm clothes beneath and they should fit in them for most of the winter. Lilly wanted to model it for us. :) They are pretty thick and cozy.

I have also been looking for little hats that they can wear in the sunshine. I have not been able to find any that fit the girls now, but these pink, polka-dotted ones were $1 at WalMart. So I went ahead and got them one and they will definitely fit through next summer. I started laughing SOOOOOO hard when I put it on them the other night for the first time...Lexi cracked up too then got a surprised look on her face when I snapped the picture. I had to fold up the brim so we could even see her face.

Lexi and I were just hanging out with Daddy while Lilly napped and had to strike a pose! I just love her huge blue eyes in this one...

Here is Lilly and I tonight. Can you see how my darlings drool now? They constantly suck on their fists, but no teeth yet. :)

Then last, but not least, I took the girls on a walk this evening after the cold front had come through. We bundled up in our little hooded sweatshirts and matching pants and headed out. It was still 65 degrees or so.
The girls can now sit up in their stroller and do not need to be in their car seats. They only need to use the head supports from the car seats, but it won't be long until those will be obsolete too. They grow up so fast!!

So until next time, have a great day tomorrow. I know we will!!

The Other Members of the Sanford Family

I have heard from a few people that I should do a blog entry on the other members of our family. We have two sweet little dogs names Sneezy and Toby.

Sneezy was Eric's sister and nieces dog when he lived with them. Eric and Sneezy formed a special bond and since Christie and the kids were going to be moving a lot, they let Eric keep him when he moved out. He was named by the nieces because when they first got him, they lived out in Lampasas and he sneezed all the time from allergies. He doesn't do that very much anymore, but I bet we confuse him when we talk about "having to sneeze". :) He was found at a shelter and is very loving. He is some sort of terrier mix and looks similar to Benji. He is also super protective and has to get used to new people. If you have been over here, he may have tried to nip at your feet. Sorry!

Then there is little Toby. Toby is an AKC registered maltese that my mother was given by her sister. He will be 13 years old in about 3 weeks and we got him when he was about 6 or 8 weeks old. He is very particular and lovey when HE wants to be. Of course, I know his personality and know what to expect from him. I think he sometimes hurts people's feelings when he won't let them pet him. That's just how he is. He really likes attention but is nervous about people who he doesn't know. When I was pregnant, he would crawl up and lay across my belly and snuggle with it. He also has no teeth. They were removed by a canine oral surgeon since he had stage 4 gum disease. It's pretty common for maltese to have bad teeth. He lived with my dad and brother while I was in college but then Dad let me take him with me after I moved to Waco for grad school. He is my little buddy and I hope both these dogs live to be 100 years old!!

Here they are showing off their cute little faces....
