Swings, Bandanas, and Books

Wow this summer has gone by quickly! I am still excited we are back home. We got to do so much fun stuff this summer in Beaumont, but there is no place like home. We have been dealing with 4, 2 year molars trying to come in, so there have been a few grumpy moments. ;)

These days, we spend a lot of time playing in the water and on the slide under our large shade tree. The other day the girls were so snuggly and cuddly. See this precious hug from Lexi to Lilly?! Lilly is actually hugging herself. She hugged her knee and squeezed it really tight.

Daddy is wonderful at helping the girls slide...when they ask. :)

We are fascinated with the water hose too...Miss Lexi

I am also back to sewing and crafting. I follow a LOT of craft/sewing blogs and have a super long list of projects to get done before Christmas. Here was the first one I completed. I wanted to make a dress out of these pretty bandanas that I found in Port Arthur. It turned out SO cute...
Or is it just the models that make it cute?

I pulled out my book, Ramona Quimby, Age 9, the other morning and tried reading the first chapter to the girls. I think the lack of pictures in the book kept them from being interested. See how Lilly even ran off and grabbed pillows to cover her ears? Stinker!
Lexi didn't want me to read it, but she had a lot of fun reading it to Elmo...
And her sister...
Well I need sleep tonight, but I am looking forward to blogging soon about new recipes I have been trying and more sewing projects as I complete them.
