8 Months

So Noah turned eight months old yesterday. Wow, that was fast! We took lots of pictures but he's such a fast mover these days that a lot of them are blurry...boo.

He also clapped for the first time yesterday. Last week, he started waving and he can sign the word, "more" at dinner time.

He weighs 20.1 lbs and is approximately 27.5" tall. It's hard for me to measure a squirmy baby by myself but I'm pretty sure I at least got close. He can still wear some 9 month stuff but I'm only buying 12 month at the moment. If it's a footed sleeper, it has to be 12 months to fit. His brown hair is also ALL gone. It grows in more blonde all the time, and grows in fast. He has had 3 haircuts already. :)

He loves to eat, but prefers smoother, less chunky foods. He used to gag on baby food if it wasn't puréed super smooth. However on Saturday night, he enjoyed eating steamed rice at the Chinese restaurant and even tried a couple little pieces of my homemade pumpkin muffins.

Right now we take the girls to school and come home for breakfast, coffee, and playtime. It's fun, I must say.

He likes to growl like a dinosaur, grunt, yell loudly, and crawl everywhere. His nickname from Lilly was "no-no" but it has made it hard to tell him no to playing with things he shouldn't, so we are working on not calling him no-no and telling him no with other phrases.

He is extremely ticklish and giggly, and still surprises me with how snuggly he is. He loves to hang out with his daddy and follows his sisters around all over the place.

He loves stuffed animals, any noisy toys, and would love to get an iPhone or MacBook for Christmas. Keeping him away from electronic stuff is really hard. It took two tries before he figured out how to turn on Daddy's XBOX.

He's just by far, the best little guy a momma could ask for and we are so thankful for him! We love you Noah!!

Noah's New Normal

Noah has been such a trooper with all the big sister drama that goes on around here. He really does adore them, but I am glad he gets some one on one attention during the week.

We do lots and lots of playing. :)

And occasionally take an afternoon bath and comb his hair...
There are the trips to the grocery store, and to Walmart to try on new shades.
And I am FINALLY getting him to nap again during the mornings and afternoons. YEA!!!

We love to play peekaboo with his favorite book. (He was sneezing here. I promise I wasn't hurting him.)
More napping...seriously, praise God for a napping baby!
Sometimes he has to take his afternoon nap in the car as we go pick up his sisters. I don't think he minds it very much.
On the days he is awake and we have to wait for his sisters to come out, he comes up front to play with Mommy. He likes to look out the window at all the other parents. I promise, he is always in his carseat when the car is moving...ALWAYS!!!

Don't you just love that diaper wedgie?! :)
I love planning out our days and having the freedom to watch him nap or even get dinner started early. As much as I miss my girls, I am feeling a lot more productive right now.

On a totally different note, Noah's first two teeth have now come in, meaning we spent many nights waking up to crying and seeing this scene on the monitor. Poor guy doesn't handle teething too well.

First Day of Pre-K

Wow! I can't believe the girls are in school already! We were hoping to get them into a part-time program at a christian preschool, but it took too long to find out if they got in and by the time they called us, we were already signed up and ready for our local public school. I REALLY like this school and it is one of the top elementary schools in our district, but I was still crazy nervous about sending my girls away for the day, 5 days a week.

It has worked out quite well. They are in separate classrooms and loving it! Their teachers are so perfect for them. We have to get up at 6 am and leave at 7. That is the most hated part of the day. :)

Here are some of the first day of school pictures...

Lexi, then Lilly
Miss Lexi
 Lilly Bug

Lilly is totally in love with Hello Kitty, but Lexi couldn't resist this glittery and shimmery Tinkerbell backpack.
Ready to go off and grow up (and leave Mommy behind :( Ha! Just such big girls!)
 The silliest girlies ever!

They are all going to miss each other so much!

The kids line up against the wall in the mornings and read a book until the bell rings. Here is Lilly learning the ropes...
 Lexi was ready and waiting!
That is one excited kid in Ms. Maughan's class!

I was so excited to go pick them up. Eric had taken the day off to be there for everything and then had to run do something for work at dismissal. I took pictures for him. This is when Lilly saw me and got a huge smile on her face. Unfortunately, her hair blew in front of that gorgeous smile.
Sweet Lexi also had a great first day!
Now if I can just keep them from growing up faster than they already are, we will be in business. :) Happy first day of preschool, my loves!
