Our Week

I really thought I was dying over the past few days. I have NEVER, EVER been that sick! We have passed the stomach bug around our house with Lexi and I getting it the worst. I hope and pray it is gone! Plus, I am tired of disinfecting everything we own. That makes about 18-20 loads of laundry completed on only Tuesday and today...yuck!

So I am posting a couple of sweet photos that we took over the past couple of weeks when everyone was feeling better. I figure it will make me feel better to look at them, right? :)

These are two little girls who LOVE their Daddy! They are glued to the back door every time he mows the yard.

Or they get their own mower and copy Daddy by "mowing" the carpet...

I also absolutely adore how bossy they can be about what they wear somedays...especially the socks and shoes! The other day, these were the socks they brought me to put on them. They wouldn't hear of wearing ANY other socks either...

Don't you love how well they match? :)

I also LOVE how cute they are when they are messy. I hate cleaning it up, but do it happily. And yes folks, that is potato salad, dipped in ketchup and mustard! Still cute though!

I was about to hit the delete button on this photo, but Eric and I got to laughing so hard, so I kept it...He swears that it is Lilly's ZOMBIE face. I don't watch those kinds of movies, so it's hard for me to see it as well as he does. It still makes me laugh hysterically! Sorry Lilly, Daddy made me put it on the blog. We still love you! :)

A Great Celebration

Eric and the girls really outdid themselves this year for Mother's Day! Eric decided to go ahead and give me a present every day for 4 days to represent the 4 little ones I care for. :) That's 2 kids and 2 dogs, by the way. In case you were confused.

It started out with some GORGEOUS roses arriving at the front door on Thursday afternoon...Lilly wanted to smell them about every 10 seconds and then only smelled the orange ones.

Then Friday, the cutest little "MOM" cookie with royal icing, and these bad boys arrived...
Yep, we had already eaten the white chocolate coconut one when I remembered to take a picture. :)

Day 3 was something so needed and wonderfully thoughtful...Eric got me a "Quilter's Cut 'N Press II". It is basically a lap board for sewing and crafting projects. It has tons of measuring lines and angles marked on it, with one soft side for pressing seams and then a hard side for rotary cutting!! That may sound goofy to some, but I really wanted one and will be able to use it for all my sewing, bow-making, and tutu-making projects!!

Day 4 was Mother's Day and also the beginning of the last month to have 1 year olds! Craziness!! It was a wonderful day! At church, they had carnations for all the moms. Then when we went to pick up the girls in the 1 year olds class, they handed us the CUTEST crafts that the kids had all made for their moms! I could have cried, it was just so special! They took little white flower pots and made ladybugs and caterpillars out of the kid's fingerprints. I love them! Then the girls told me in the car that they made Mommy bugs with their fingers.

Then after church, we got some Subway sandwiches and had lunch at the park. It was cloudy and breezy and perfect. The kids wanted us to swing them FOREVER! We had a great time.

I forgot to take my camera to the park, but we got home and took a few pictures of the girls goofing off. I just love these girls! I can't believe that they are going to be 2 next month...
