Lexi loves reading this book with me. I promise Lilly is talking too, it's just harder to get her on camera right now.

Our Day

We had a fun day here today. It was supposed to snow...nope, not so much!! Instead we had a day of staying warm and lounging with books and toys. Eric only has 2 finals left next week and he is done. :) We are also planning a fun trip soon and I can hardly wait to leave!!

Tonight Lilly decided that she wanted to snuggle with me and then Lexi came up to join us. It was about an hour before bedtime and they were winding down since their nap was somewhat short. Lexi sat kind of behind Lilly and paid her head against Lilly's cheek. Eric snapped a couple of pictures of his 3 girls. There is nothing like having a lap full of little ones that you love and adore. Here are my sweeties in my lap.

Lilly and Mommy had a few silly moments too. :)

Daddy and Lexi had been building towers with her blocks and she was starting to get grumpy. Eric, however, was not grumpy. :)

The girls like to give each other kisses when they are in their super sweet moods. Tonight, they also discovered that they could slide across linoleum on their bellies and say, "Weeeeee!"

I sure do love those happy faces. Wait, what am I saying...I love them when they are cranky, mad, and throwing tantrums too!

Three Little Girls

This is one of the reasons I have been blogging less...watching 3 little girls keeps me pretty busy. The twins are so loving having Annalise come visit and ask for her on the mornings that she isn't here. :) They are good friends.

Here are some pictures of them playing from the other morning. Lilly is in this first picture, playing boo.

Silly girls being silly girls...

The other night, we finally got Lexi to say her "Oh, Honey!" phrase on camera. You may have to turn the sound up to hear her, and I apologize for my goofy excitement. I love them so much and get super excited about the things they do sometimes. :)

Happy Girls!

For not feeling well, the girls were super cheerful on Thanksgiving. We even went outside after the big meal and played for a while. I cooked a full Thanksgiving feast and it was wonderful. Thank goodness for HEB...we got a fully-cooked turkey for the same price as frozen and it was ready after 2 hours in the oven. Then all I had to do was put together the side dishes. All in all, I was able to make a huge table of food in 2 hours, while the babies slept. We are still eating the leftovers today. And while we missed seeing extended family, it was really nice to hang out with just us 4. I'm also glad that I was able to cook and serve my girls the first thanksgiving feast they were able to eat. Last year, they slept through the meal and were still nursing exclusively.

Onto cuter things. :) The girls absolutely adore the moon. They always have...from day one, they have kissed the moon in all of their books every single time we read them. They always look into the sky and point it out to us. Thanksgiving was no different. Lilly started it and then Lexi joined in. They ran to the edge of the driveway and started yelling, "Hi, Moon!" while waving and blowing kisses. Here they are loving the moon. :)

And Miss Lexi...

We had tickle time on Thanksgiving too... (Miss Lexi is below)
Lilly knew I was coming to get her....
Then I begged and begged for them to let me take one of them sitting sweetly together....I got a couple, so that was cool!

We did Christmas pictures today but did not purchase the disc. We would have had to spend more than we wanted in order to get the disc, so we just got prints. It was a crazy morning, for sure, but the pictures turned out good. :)

Ponytails

The twins hair has gotten so long. It constantly hangs in their faces. I don't mind them having their hair down, but I wish they could see with it down. :) They pull their bows out almost immediately, and pigtails are hard to keep in as well. Last night I put their hair in ponytails and it has gotten so long that almost all of it fits. They looked like such big girls too. We may get them a trim, but we really want Eric's mom to see how long it has grown first when we go to Kentucky.

Here are my little ponytailed dolls: (Lilly on the right)

Oh Honey!

Today has been quite an interesting day. The girls got over their colds and went straight into nasal drainage and congestion, which we think and hope is related to the giant molars about to pop out of their gums. So Lexi woke us up at 6 am this morning, crying with a stuffed up nose. I gave her a little benadryl and she stayed up with us in our bed without relief. That was too early for me...

Then after we all took a nap this afternoon, we discovered that our dog Sneezy was sick...and sick enough to warrant an emergency, after-hours clinic visit. Hours later with the credit card swiped, we all made it home with some dinner.

Now Lexi and Lilly are both talking up a storm these days. I feel like every time I say that, they take it to the next level. Lexi likes to copy almost anything we say. The other night at dinner, she popped out with "hibachi" after Eric said it. She also said vegetables the other day.

Her favorite words today have been surprise and Elmo. But when the girls were in the tub tonight, Lexi copied me with this phrase..."Ohhh, Honey!!" Eric and I died laughing. She had the exact same voice and everything. She said it crystal clear and it was the cutest darn thing ever. Then Lilly started saying, "oh, Hon!"

I have been keeping a long list of the words they say every day but am losing track some days. I just can't keep up. I wrote down about 10 new words the other day from Lexi.

This week, they have been brushing Daddy's hair a lot. Eric is a good Daddy! :)

"Oh, my! Lilly is going to brush my hair again?"
"Nah, I think I'll just brush mine!"
Lexi desperately trying to brush Lilly's hair. Well, I hope everyone else had a wonderful Saturday. I am going to bed!! Night!
